How disgusting is that, when not only are those who really need these benefits, have them stolen by “able bodied people” who refuse to work, thus living off those who are working? Pretty sorry when that’s the only way you can get people to vote for your handouts. I’m all for giving benefits to those who are disabled and unable to work, but not those who just refuse to work, making those who do, support their laziness! The more folks that democrats can get dependant upon them for their food, the more permanent their votes are for democrats! How CRUEL IS THAT? You should look at the just how many illegal folks are receiving food stamps/snap/welfare. They are not authorized to be given snap/welfare.
The government needs to require that all those on snap/welfare have to appear, in person, to reapply for those benefits. IF those that reapply can not prove that they are in the country legally. IF they can not prove that they folks are in the country legally, then cut them off.
Any time there is a gov’t shutdown, the first to go without their pay should be the CONGRESS. You can bet they would reopen OUR gov’t pretty quickly, if it was their pay being withheld. They remain paid the whole time. Since Schumer shut our gov’t down this time, he should have been the first to volunteer foregoing his pay. Hell would freeze over before that happened. IMO, he’s not in it for his citizens, he’s in it for himself, and is running scared of one of the most dumb members of this congress, IMO. He’s afraid of losing his windfall from the taxpayers to one member who will probably primary him next election.
