Save a lot of effort, planning & money on everyone’s behalf–the host country, athletes who trained for the event, sponsors, parents & family members….on & on.

First, I don’t watch the Olympics, or the Superbowl or the Grammys, too much garbage on all of the above. I also want to say at 71 years old, there was a time that these and other events were important and I did watch them. I feel that anyone that has accepted the position to represent the USA in another country, in sports or pretty much anything else, and they are busy trashing the country that put them there, they should be eliminated from the games (in this case) and given a ticket to whatever country they want to go live in.
Donna, I too have never watched any of the three you mentioned. I stopped watching the Olympics circus in the ’70’s. Fairness went out of the window in favour of MONEY when professionals were taking part against amateur athletes! Nothing but GREED, GREED, GREED!

The United States Olympic Committee should have every athlete sign a non-disclosure agreement that states that if they make a political statement while representing the United States that they will automatically forfeit their metal and be removed from the any and all teams in the future.
