Certain communities are not trustworthy for self checkout.

I’m in Europe and can’t stop laughing at this. The “progressives” actually made the country go backwards this time…

  1. The real mess was created when Walmart let shoppers with more than 10 items clog up the self serve. The reason people with 50 items go to self check out is to steal.

  2. No, we honest ones must use them too because there are no physical check out people!!!! I would utilize them if there were!

  3. Bring the cashier’s back. I hate the self service. I pay the same at selfservice as a checkout with cashier.

  4. I have so far been able to avoid using self-checkout. I do hate the long lines at the one or two real checkout lanes that are open.

  5. The number of self-check stations were increased when the check-out personnel were re-assigned/decreased, to adjust for the increase in self-check of more than 10 items. So not all shoppers with baskets full are there to steal, and the self-checkout is much easier with 10 +/-, or 50 items, for this shopper in a wheelchair.

  6. I didn’t mind doing self checkout. I bought at most five or six things. So self checkout worked for me and not having to wait in a long checkout line

  7. Self checkout is actually faster for me; I have had 50 things and didn’t do it to steal anything. Interesting that a Walmart team member would come stand next to me and watch me; most likely because I had so much. So we are paying $20/hr for someone to stand and watch people checking out. This country is headed to hell!!

  8. At my age it is hard to stand in long lines and the self check-out is so much handier. The only time I ran into a problem was when I bought fruit, but the lady showed me what to do and I don’t have a problem. It’s like everything else – thieves, liars, illegals come in unlawfully and ruin it for the Americans. ANOTHER BIDEN PROBLEM.

  9. I hated the self-checkout from day one. I pay by check 90
% of the time and those self-checkuts don’t take checks. Got to have a cashier take the check to a operating cashier, run it through and bring it back 5 min later. Pay the same price for the product as the rest of the shoppers. I went to other registers like automotive, electronics or sporting goods to check out.

  10. I’ve never used a self.Check out. It’s one of the reasons why I stopped going to Walmart in Clinton.I didn’t want to deal with it.So I would order online and that wasn’t always fun either.

  11. I’ve always believed Walmart security was/is abysmal. Having worked in retail in the 60’s (when morality was a virtue) I saw plenty of thieves’ crap, probably only the tip of the iceberg. Owning a retail business without strong security in liberal/Marxist states like CA is like leaving the door open.

  12. It is easy to accidentally re-scan or miss something in the basket. I prefer to get a nearby Walmart associate to do my check-out for me. That goes for other big stores like Lowes as well. I have not seen the list of stores closing their self-check-out lanes. I look forward to seeing it.

  13. In the process of this experiment by big business with using self checkout, we, the honest customer have been paying for the loss caused by thieves, thru raised prices to cover business losses! Thanks big business!!

  14. My biggest complaint about self checkouts is that they don’t keep them stocked with cash, so there are always 2 or 3 that say Cards Only and nobody uses them since many people still use cash, especially for groceries. Also, Self Checkout should be more of an express lane with a 10 item limit.

  15. AMERICA TAX TIME HAS COME AND GONE WHO HAS CLAIMED OWNERSHIP OF THE BIDEN OFF SHORE HIDDEN ACCOUNTS? WERE TAXES PAID ON THIS MONEY RECEIVED INTO THOSE ACCOUNTS? WHY HAS NO ONE BROUGHT THIS UP FOR CONVERSATION????

  16. How can an employee raised up through a company truly understand management style and how each style affects employees. Management styles need to be fluid and the person must know when to use which style and also when to change to a different style. Without this knowledge a manager can easily alienate their subordinates and cause a negative effect on the overall operation and efficiency of the company. Misuse of a management style can cause decreased employee detention. Any senior managerial position should also require some education in management style, identifying employee learning styles, what makes an employee want to stay with a company.
Most companies do not offer this training within the company. Most Walmart managers that I have met use “Management By Fear” as their primary style.
