How can burning the American flag be freedom of speech? Burning is doing, not saying. Speech is the communication of thoughts or ideas through spoken words and to express oneself orally.

Sorry, Mark and our Supreme Court. Burning our flag should not be considered free speech. It should not be tolerated. Too many people have given their lives, to protect our flag. The penalty for burning our flag should be a minimum if five years in prison.
