It wasn’t theft, as lazy, ignorant whiners claim. It was conquest — brutal, homicidal conquest. The land belongs to whomever can take it, and hold it. That goes for America, as well. However, if you try and fail, a “big hurt” follows.
The tribes were conquered by the settlers. Tribes were not capable of fighting on the same level. It was a war and tribes did not unify which would have helped them. The same occurred many years ago in europe long before countries were established. Lets remember the indian tribes believed in and practiced slavery, many whites were enslaved when the battle for a community was lost. What ever was in the past no one who is an American should say we are on stolen land, people died for that land, any one who feels that way should give what ever assets they have to the Indians. Also she just showed herself to be a hypocrite as she owns land. Not only that but she made herself look like a fool.
Gee, and I thought it was the British that conquered our lands. Being that I am part native American, I know my tribe. I have books explaining what really happened. Oh – where did you go to school? Was it an American school?
