People keep forgetting that Scotus justices are public servants, public officials, and they want to ensure that their misdeeds are fully sanctioned and 100% protected by sovereign immunity as well. Federal government officials all have sovereign immunity, and if they deem Trump’s acts to have occurred while he was president, he will receive the same immunity all federal officials claim. There are no consequences for the wrongful acts of federal officials. RBGinsburg wrote the Haley v. Osborne decision which protects all federal officials even as against horrific crimes.
