We’ve lived in CA for nr 40 years. It was NOT affordable when we had to move here (job transfer) but became decently affordable for us to stay/work/retire due to Prop 13 (so old, retirees don’t have to pay more in taxes monthly than their mortgage….but NEWSCUM wants to change this….). Take our advice: do NOT make the entire USA a California. DO NOT buy into electing pretty hair/teeth (Newscum) to install a high-tax, fiscally irresponsible, open-border, anti-2nd amendment (he’ll get to you through ammo bills if he can’t take your guns away) and flagrant liar that he is. Do you have a gas stove or heat? He will ban them & give you the conversion bill through law. Have a gas car? He will take it away & make you buy a $100,000 electric car and THEN charge you 5x the electric bill than you have now to make you NOT use electricity. I kid you NOT…in the same DAY that he declared that ALL cars in CA will be electric, he came out and ordered an electric use ban b/c of rolling black outs in our state…YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS UP. I LIVE HERE. IT HAPPENS TO US. Do not elect this for our nation. If you do, you then deserve the outcome & I don’t feel sorry for you or yours.
I have several friends and relatives who live in California. They ALL sound exactly like you with many different exceptions being why they live there. Who the heck is voting these clowns in? The friends/family who live in Northern California insist if the state is spit the North will never vote Dem. I disagree. It will just give the fruits double the power nationwide. Two California’s means 4 US senators. Notice what they did with the gerrymandering. Certainly did not give Northern California more political power did it? North California is like a bunch of babies just being pulled along kicking and screaming by their drugged up hippy nanny.

SHE would make a good communist, but a horrible American patriot! Whatever that study says, I notice that my home state of NJ is #2 on the list, just below CA, for the most UNAFFORDABLE, HIGH-INFLATION states, in the country…and it is so true, unfortunately! Typical one-bedroom apartments (not luxury ones, but average 30 year old ones), rent for 1400 to 1500 a month, here in central NJ. And that forces retirees like me, to rent and live in a room in an ordinary 70 to 80 year old house, usually with other tenants in the same house, too, all sharing the same kitchen, and sometimes the same bathroom, too. I do that because it is all that I can afford to do. Room rents vary, but I am paying 625 a month, for a large basement bedroom, while sharing the kitchen and sole bathroom, upstairs on the ground floor, in this small, one-story house, with my landlady and 3 other tenants. This monthly rent is a little on the low side, for room rents around here, too, with most other renters paying more to live in a room in a house, with a shared bathroom (and possibly a shared kitchen also, but not nevessarily). So, I have one of the best (most affordable) deals for housing, in this (not so) “lovely” blue state. And, I have to climb 12 steep stairs, everyday, often several times a day, if I want to use the bathroom, or use the kitchen, or leave the house (which I do virtually every day, by the way!) And that is something that many seniors my age cannot do. Plus, I have to deal with 2 large dogs, here, who bark loudly and viciously, at any woman friends of mine who come over to visit…and, it is a 2.2 mile WALK, to or from the nearest train station, thru much worse neighborhoods, whenever the buses aren’t running (and I’ve made that walk several times, already). So, housing is expensive, very expensive, here in this blue state (property taxes from ten to twenty grand a year, btw!), gas is down from previous highs, but the very cheapest in the whole area is still $2.579 a gallon, for unleaded regular, with most stations ten or twenty cents more, per gallon, and car insurance is now $184 a month, while we also have lots of highway tolls, state sales tax, state income tax, and $12.15 for a pack of Newport cigarettes. Cheap hamburgers at McDonalds are $2.13, while the whoppers are $5+, apiece, and a large fries is like 6 bucks or more, while a dry pint of organic blueberries at Lidl is $5.58. NJ is EXPENSIVE!!! And too many idiots here vote blue–no coincidence!!!!!!!
