I live in NM, and less than a year ago I wanted to get my drivers licence updated, just so I could fly if needed.. I only had a Baptismal Certificate that had a different Middle Name that I had been using for more than 60 yrs!.. I had gotten a certified copy of my Birth Certificate in late 1998 showing my Real Middle name… after getting new Drivers Licence, I had to go down to the local Social Security office and get a NEW corrected Soc Sec card. I had to PROVE who I was at the Soc Sec office AND at the DMV! Followed my NEW Medicare card and later Voter Registration and my Hospital Records.
Dee. I live in CA, otherwise known as “Mexifornia.” ‘Been here 40 yrs w/my “regular” driver’s license. Same sort of thing happened to me. I was adopted at 5. Another name change when I married. I had my birth certificate and my marriage license to show all my names and I still, a year later, do not have my “Real ID.” The DMV workers did not accept my VA marriage license because they said it was only a “church certificate.,” even tho’ it had “State of Virginia” and the seal. (It was signed by a church “officiate” as the witness.) All my relatives are on the East Coast and I cannot fly to see them. This is crazy when illegals from all over the world are allowed to come in and move around this country at will, but not me. I’m fed up and will probably just go to my local PO and apply for a passport. The Postmaster looked at my papers and said they were fine.
IMO, any judge who rules like Boasberg has been ruling, should have never been on the bench. IMO, he rules according to his own POLITICS not the constitutional LAW! They just elected a Muslim mayor in Hamtramck Michigan, not far from Detroit, and another mayor in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. The only thing we have going for us is that they are on the terrorist list with the DOJ and our state, county and local law enforcement.
