Shutdown means no working in Congress. Open up means working in Congress. They should not be getting a paycheck when not working. Work to negotiate. What don’t they get?
And Congress if they think OBAMA CARE is so good for Americans then they should get the same health care!
They should not get a paycheck, and shouldn’t be reimbursed later. We also need to have DOGE carefully examine why they get $179,000 for a part-time job. And how did this woman running for New Jersey Gov (D) make $3,000,000 while there for 3 years with her stock portfolio? Was she enrolled in Nancy Pelosi’s “How To Win Every Time On Wall Street”?
Also, when not working because of a government shutdown, they shouldn’t get their golden parachute benefits including health care coverage!
NJ Also needs to have a DOGE evaluation too. Jack Ciattarelli will do it! We know the Democrats love to tax US to “death” but never have enough money to balance a budget? Where are all these tax dollars going and what is this money being spent on? Only a Republican will tell US that one through “transparency” Enough of the Democrats dark ages in NJ.
There are millions of Americans not receiving their benefits due to the shutdown. To expedite negotiations, Congress should not only forfeit their pay during this time but with in a short time, be fined each day it stays closed & not doing their job. There is no real incentive for the parties to come together unless accountability is paramount – “There ought a be a law”!
AS I have said before Schumer does not care about the American People, how many times does he have to prove it. He has to go. He supports Socialism, along with Bernie Sanders. Time to get rid of them, Stop voting for them, they just dont support the American people any more.

Most of the Democrats in Congress don’t have a signed, notarized, sealed “Oath of Office” because Obama “schooled” them NOT TO. The reason being that they cannot be charged with treason if they haven’t got one. The publicly “swear in” but that means NOTHING. They have to have the original paper form on file and they are operating illegally by not having one. We the people need to request/require one from every gov’t employee that is supposed to have one along with their up to date insurance bonds for those where it is applicable. This is the ONLY way to hold them accountable.
The National debt is actually over 36 trillion if you count programs like Social Security; Medicare & Snap.. its more like 100 trillion.
This shut down is Schumer and the Democrats fault. They don’t care about Americans, they just want to power and greed. They are getting paid so they are not feeling the pain. To kind of think about it — This Government Schumer shut down is like no other shut down since the Democrats have voted before to open the Government. This one in particularly is using “Communistic tactic” not feeding the people; holding their own party leadership hostage from voting to open the government threating to primary them in their next election and if they don’t get “their way” with Our tax dollars to fund illegal’s health insurance expanding the failed Obama care subsides over a clean Bill with no pork then it stands to not open. When the Government shuts down none of the leadership should be paid! Stop playing political games with everyone’s lives! Vote them out when ever you have the great opportunity to vote!
