As a Chicagoan I feel sick every time I hear this e vil man speak. Not just because of what he’s doing, but knowing that my fellow citizens VOTED FOR THIS. Whenever anyone I know complains about him or about the crime I ask them, “Did you vote for Paul Vallas?” If the answer is “no”, if they stayed home, or if they refuse to answer their complaining is dismissed. Collectively, we brought this upon ourselves and there is no one to blame but us.
By saying that reparations to people descended from black slaves will solve crime he is indirectly saying that black people are the cause of the major spike in crime in Chicago.
