Just took a 2 hour mandatory class this morning led by a trans man. I work at a reputable hospital in Georgia. They have forced us to learn about being privileged based on being white. It’s complete crap. I grew up in a violent neighborhood with a single mom. I was a victim of a home invasion at the age of 13yo. A masked man beat me with my own tennis racquet and held gun to my head. He sexually assaulted me. I turned to drinking and drugs at 15 yo. I didn’t graduate H.S. I worked my ass off to get through a tough BSN School and graduated with honors. I truly believe if you make good decisions and work hard you can get where you want to go..regardless of skin color or ethnicity. I now 100% understand how the holocaust happened. People are so ready to blame others for their pathetic decisions.
