During the first presidential debate on Tuesday night, Joe Biden appeared to be wearing a wire, even though the podium already had a microphone.
The fact-checkers are claiming that it was a “shirt crease.” It looks like they’re on Joe Biden’s side again. No surprise there.
But which is it? Was it really a wire, or was it just a shirt crease, as they claimed it to be?
A Twitter user had posted a video, which is starting to go around on social media. It’s gone viral and already has 4 million views in a single day.
The man who posted the video can be heard saying, “There it is. There it is! Biden’s wearing a wire. Why do you need a wire, bro? You’ve got a mic.”
See for yourself.
Here’s a clear video of that point in the debate so you can see for yourself whether or not it was really a wire.
In less than a day, he followed up with another tweet. This time, it was a GIF, and he was referring to something that was up in Biden’s sleeve.
“What was up Biden’s sleeve? Their claim is a rosary, which is…suspect,” was his caption.
However, he later corrected himself and admitted that it was indeed a rosary.
“I stand corrected. Important to adhere to the truth,” he wrote.
According to FactCheck.org, there has been no evidence that Biden was “wearing a wire” in the presidential debate.
They also mentioned that Biden had indeed talked in 2017 about wearing a rosary around his left wrist in honor of his late son, Beau Biden.
“I have not taken off the rosary Beau was wearing when he passed, since then,” he said. “It’s my connection with him.”
The important question is, do you think it was a wire?
