This Says It All: Jerry Nadler's 7 Words on Court Packing…

On Thursday, House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler explained why the Democrats felt the need to pack the Supreme Court.

The majority of Americans are against court-packing, but the Democrats continue to seek to add four seats to the Supreme Court to match the number of circuit courts.

“The number of justices is up to Congress, and Congress has changed that number 7 times in the history of the country,” he said. “Our founders understood that as the country and the judicial system evolved, the court needs to evolve with it. This legislation represents a much-needed next step in that evolution.”

“Nine justices may have made sense in the 19th century when there were only nine circuits. Only a few hundred appeals were filed before the court every year. And so many of our most important laws, everything from civil rights to antitrust, the Internet, financial regulation, health care, immigration, and white-collar crime, did not exist as far as the court was concerned and did not require adjudication by the Supreme Court,” he continued.

“But the logic behind having only nine justices is much weaker today when there are 13 circuit courts, thousands of cases filed before the court each year, and the full range of statutes and regulations that make our economy and our society work,” Nadler added.

Because of this, he said, “the overwhelming majority of cases don’t get considered by the Supreme Court, which they are entitled to do.”

“Our predecessors made eminent sense when they pegged the size of the Supreme Court to the number of judicial circuits,” he went on. “As our country has grown, so, too, to the Supreme Court.”

“13 justices for 13 circuits is a logical progression,” Nadler said.

He then said, “Some people will say we’re packing the court. We’re not packing it, we’re unpacking it.”

He then proceeded to accuse Senator McConnell and the Republicans of packing the court “over the last couple of years.”

This is the same man who said that Antifa is a myth. The Democrats lie and twist the truth to their benefit, and this is just another example of that.

Nadler is a F’n J bastard. He is truly a despicable POS.

If the SCOTUS worked like real people, same with all of the house they might accomplish something. As it is, I believe they WORK 135 days out of a year. For those that learned obamanomicks there are 365 days in a year. These people don’t WORK! And we pay them WHAT?

The Democrats has destroyed America in just under four months, Just think what they can do in four years. We have never had so many losers in our Government in the past 89 years.

Reggie Fraker

That’s what I’m afraid of as the other republicans are.
Four months and we’re pretty much done, China has the North and pretty much of the South borders cover., Nobody is saying anything about that, and Canada has given China little island off of Vancouver
Nothing to see here folks is what the demorats want

One fact is for sure when this POS. Nadler dies he will rest in hell and make a lot of people happy!

The number of justices has ZERO effect on how many cases can be brought before the court. It’s NOT an “each 3 justices take a case” setup. The court, necessarily, has a limited number of sessions per year & it’s not dependent on the number of justices.

Craig Murphy

At least it wasn’t George Carlin’s Seven Dirty Words Nads, you know the routine, ” you can prick your finger but don’t finger your ***** “.

and he’s been packing on the food the fat pig!
