On Friday morning, just hours after Georgia Governor Brian Kemp called for a signature audit of the 2020 election votes, a close family friend died in a tragic car wreck.
Local media reported that 20-year-old Harrison Deal, an aide to Senator Kelly Loeffler, a former intern to Senator David Perdue, and the boyfriend of Kemp’s daughter Lucy, was tragically the only person who died in a three-car wreck on I-16 in Pooler.
According to the New York Post, the cause of the car wreck is still under investigation.
“The investigation is underway and may take some time,” according to Pooler police spokeswoman Lindsey Heintzman, who initially said Saturday that the investigation could take over a month, without elaborating.
The deal was Loeffler’s Athens Regional Field Director. Due to his untimely death, Governor Kemp was unable to attend Trump rallies on Friday and Saturday.
During his rally in Georgia on Saturday, Trump expressed his condolences for Deal and his family.
Just two days before the car wreck, Deal had posted a tribute to Governor Kemp on his Facebook page.
