The Woman Who Tried to Poison the President

The police and federal agents believe that they have found the person who mailed a letter coated with poisonous ricin to the White House, addressed to President Donald Trump.

According to the Daily Wire, the suspect is a Canadian woman who is in the United States illegally. She is also suspected of sending the poisoned letter because she was “targeted” by federal immigration authorities in Texas in March of last year.

The New York Post also posted additional details.

According to the Post, the suspect is named Pascale Ferrier from Quebec. She was taken into custody on Sunday by the US Customs and Border Protection at the Peace Bridge border near Buffalo, New York.

She was expected to appear in court on Monday, but her appearance was delayed until Tuesday afternoon, according to a US Attorney Office’s spokesperson.

She had pleaded not guilty.

The court records cited by the news outlet show that Ferrier had been living in the US last year when she was arrested in Mission, Texas in March of 2019 for using a fake driver’s license.

Ferrier had referred to Trump as “The Ugly Tyrant Clown” and told him to “give up and remove your application for this election,” according to an FBI affidavit filed in the case.

Also according to the affidavit, she had written in the letter, “So I made a ‘special gift’ for you to make a decision. This gift is in this letter. If it doesn’t work, I’ll find better recipe for another poison, or I might use my gun when I’ll be able to come.”

On Monday, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police worked together with the FBI to conduct a search of the condo in Saint-Hubert located on Montreal’s South Shore, where they suspected that the ricin-laced letters had come from.

Police spokesman Cpl. Charles Poirier told reporters, “We believe a total of six letters were sent — one to the White House and five to Texas.”

The truth is, the FBI said six letters have since been discovered in Texas, and all of them were similar and “contained similar language” as the letter that had been sent to the president.

It wasn’t clear in the reports whether Ferrier has a lawyer or not. But at this point, it’s also unclear if having a lawyer will even help her at all.

The hatred for Trump has grown over the years, and this just proves that now, it’s not only the Americans who hate him.
