The Montana’s residence had the scare of their lives when an intruder attempted to kidnap a nine-month-old infant inside their home in Malibu on Saturday.

The suspect, identified as a 39-year-old woman, allegedly snatched Joe Montana’s grandchild in her playpen while sleeping.

Thankfully, the American legend football player and his wife, Jennifer, managed to take back the child from the kidnapper after a “tussle,” officials said.

“Scary situation, but thankful that everybody is doing well,” the legendary quarterback tweeted.

“We appreciate respect for our privacy at this time,” Montana added.

The suspect was later identified as 39-year-old Sodsai Dalzell. She fled Montana’s home after the incident but was arrested and charged with kidnapping and burglary in a nearby house.

No one was harmed in the incident, including the 9-month-old child, reported the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Joe Montana, now 64, was with the San Francisco 49ers and regarded as one of the legendary quarterbacks of all time.

He was famous for winning games in last-minute touchdowns, gaining him the moniker “the Comeback Kid” in his 1980s heyday, BBC reported.
