According to news reports, a prominent Russian scientist who was working on a COVID-19 vaccine was found dead after falling out of his window in St. Petersburg. However, the weird thing is that he was also found with a stab wound.
45-year-old Alexander “Sasha” Kagansky was just in his underwear when he fell to his death from his apartment on the 14th floor, reported the Russian newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets.
Kagansky was best known for his work on cancer research. He was an assistant professor in Vladivostok and spent 13 years working in Edinburgh, Scotland, until 2017.
His most recent job was as the director of the Center for Genomic and Regenerative Medicine at Russia’s Far Eastern Federal University.
There, he had been working on developing a vaccine against the coronavirus.
According to the report, Kagansky’s body was found on Zamshin Street by one of his neighbors.
