If you are an Army vet, you ought to know that Iran has been financing a lot of the aggression in the Middle East for decades. The Clintons and Obama enabled them. The Bush family got us into this crap. What are the Houthis doing? And who is using them? What about the Hamas? Thank God we have a president that is doing his best not to level everything over there but still get rid of the tyrants that have been ruling that land ever since Khomeini first took it over back when I served in the 70’s and early 80’s.
As a retired soldier I am always surprised (not really) that our military leaders seem to often forget that those we are fighting ALWAYS have the option of striking back. One of those things like: perfect plans always work until you make contact with the enemy! He always get to reply. Having our aircraft within striking distance AND apparently having little to NO defense plan for said aircraft strikes me as STUPID. Air Forces have known about revetments since at least WW2 (1939-1945). For those not privy to the information revetments are dispersal semi-protected places to park aircraft to make it harder to destroy them with a bombardment by bombs, rockets or attack by enemy aircraft. Leaving our aircraft without these fortifications is a criminal act that should have some high level leaders FIRED.
