According to the media, it sounds like the New York Times may have discovered Antifa in Portland.
They’ve also discovered that Antifa has switched tactics to harassing people in residential and mostly white neighborhoods.
Antifa has been in residential neighborhoods for months, just bothering people. The Times is referring to these people as “protesters against police brutality.”
In their report, critical information is obviously missing, and the violence is downplayed. If you didn’t know the facts, you’d just believe their stories.
One Black resident named Terrence Moses who runs a non-profit group in the Portland, Oregon area described what happened when the protesters got to his street.
According to the New York Times, Moses was initially unsure of what the protesters were so upset about. When he got closer to the crowd, he saw that his neighbors had an American flag on display.
“It went from a peaceful march, calling out the names, to all of a sudden, bang, ‘How dare you fly the American flag?’” said Mr. Moses. “They said, ‘take it down.’ They wouldn’t leave. They said they’re going to come back and burn the house down.”
Moses and the other residents blocked the protesters and told them to leave.
“We don’t go around terrorizing folks to try and force them to do something they don’t want to do,” said Moses. “I’m a veteran. I’m for these liberties.” His nonprofit group provides support for the local homeless people.
The New York Times described the protesters’ actions as “more confrontational” and “personal,” as they targeted ordinary people and demanded that they get out of their houses and into the streets. Well, that’s one way to describe threatening to burn down someone else’s home.
The couple that Antifa threatened is worried that they might come home to find that their house has been burned down. However, they’re still not taking their flag down.
The Times also wrote about 200 protesters meeting in a park for a “direct action” march. They had gathered in an unlit park in a residential neighborhood at around 8 PM. All of them wore black, and some even had on body armor and motorcycle helmets.
A small selection of free literature was set up on the grass, which was overseen by three people in ski masks. People had crowded around, trying to see the pamphlets they offered.
The titles included were “Why Break Windows”; “I Want To Kill Cops Until I’m Dead”; “Piece Now, Peace Later: An Anarchist Introduction to Firearms”; “In Defense of Smashing Cameras”; and “Three-Way Fight: Revolutionary Anti-Fascism and Armed Self Defense.”
This is what the Democrats and Biden himself have called “peaceful protests”. As if there’s anything peaceful about sharing information regarding the crimes they plan to commit and killing cops.
They even made sure to go to a mostly white neighborhood.
“You’ll never sleep tight, we do this every night,” the protesters chanted as they marched.
They’ll force you to agree to their beliefs. If you don’t, they’ll threaten to burn down your home or deprive you of your sleep.
