PJ Media’s previous predictions state that Biden’s rise to the presidential seat would alter the narrative on COVID-19. The World Health Organization (WHO) expectedly did so.
The New York Times reported an article in August 2019 that about 90% of COVID-19 tests in three states do not indicate active illness. Simply put, viral debris incapable of causing infection or being transmitted was picked up. This is because the Cycle threshold (Ct) of the PCR test amplified the sample several times.
United States labs use a Ct of 37-40. However, epidemiologists interviewed claimed Ct around 30 was probably more appropriate. This indicated that the CDC’s test standards for the PCR test would record an excessive number of false positives.
The outlet also reported that the CDC’s data suggested no live virus was detected in PCR over a Ct of 33. It was also noted that clinicians weren’t receiving the Ct value as part of the PCR test result.
Moreover, in a CDC PCR test instruction document, which was revised five times as of July 13, 2020, a Ct of 40 was specified to use to test and interpret the test result.
On September 28, 2020, a study published in Clinical Infectious Diseases from Jaafar et al. asserted that a Ct of 30 was appropriate in making a public policy. The suggestion was based on clinical data and patient labs of roughly 4,000 patients.
Before the Times story, the CDC revised its COVID-19 test recommendations and advised to test only the symptomatic patients. The media then went insane, and Director Fauci broadcasted his “non-involvement” decision to change the testing standards.
Fauci said, “I am concerned about the interpretation of these recommendations and worried it would give people the incorrect assumption that asymptomatic spread is not of great concern. In fact, it is.”
The guidelines went back to test everyone, all along, with an oversensitive threshold. Fauci’s even lied in August about the idea of asymptomatic spread being a concern.
It was January, at the onslaught of the pandemic when he said, “The one thing historically that people need to realize is that even if there is some asymptomatic transmission, in all the history of respiratory borne viruses of any type, an asymptomatic transmission has never been the driver of outbreaks. The driver of outbreaks is always an asymptomatic person. Even if there is a rare asymptomatic person that might transmit, an epidemic is not driven by asymptomatic carriers.”
Today, though, only an hour of Joe Biden’s inauguration and signing of an executive order to mandate masks everywhere, the WHO released a notice to lab professionals using the PCR.
WHO guidance Diagnostic testing for SARS-CoV-2 states that careful interpretation of weak positive results is needed (1). The cycle threshold (Ct) needed to detect the virus is inversely proportional to the patient’s viral load. Where test results do not correspond with the clinical presentation, a new specimen should be taken and retested using the same or different NAT technology.
This means that “in the absence of symptoms, a high Ct value means you are highly unlikely to become ill or get anyone else sick in the absence of very recent exposure to an infected person.”
Fauci already knew this in July when he said that Ct above 35 would likely pick up viral debris or dead virus. According to Jaafar et al., virus samples replicating is very low at a Ct of 35. Florida is the only state requiring a report that includes the Ct in every test. They stated the policy in December.
The organization went on, stating that most PCR analyses indicated as an aid for diagnosis. Therefore, the health care providers should consider the timing of sampling, assay specifics, specimen type, clinical observations, confirmed status of any contacts, patient history, and epidemiological information.
Thus, the WHO’s latest guideline indicates that a positive PCR test without the symptoms means nothing at a Ct of more than 30, according to Jaafar et al. and the experts interviewed by the Times.
Yet, CNN loves to flash the number of positive tests on the tv screen.
Only approximately 2.43 million actual cases should be recorded instead of the 24.3 million if the Times report in August holds.
If such happens, the magically solved pandemic would be attributed to Biden, just in time for his inauguration. What a superhero.
