Joe Biden, despite becoming the President of the United States just last Wednesday, remains a hypocrite.
Last week, he signed an executive order which mandated that masks are to be worn at all times while on federal land. Ironically, it took him just a few hours to break his own rule.
He and his entire family apparently didn’t think it was important enough to wear masks while visiting the Lincoln Memorial last Thursday.
During Friday’s press conference, Fox News reporter Steve Doocy brought up the matter and confronted Biden’s press secretary Jen Psaki. Unsurprisingly, she gave a cringe-worthy answer.
“Why weren’t President Biden and all members of the Biden family not masked at all times on federal land last night if he signed an executive order that mandates masks on federal land at all times,” Doocy asked.
“At the inaugural…” she stumbled.
“At the Lincoln Memorial, yeah,” Doocy clarified. “Uh — I think Steve he was uh, celebrating, uh — an evening — a historic day in our country, and certainly he signed the mask mandate because it’s a way to send a message to the American public about the importance of wearing masks, how it can save tens of thousands of lives,” she kept stumbling as she responded.
“We take several COVID precautions, as you know here, in terms of testing, social distancing, mask-wearing, ourselves, as we do every single day,” she continued. “But I don’t know that I have much more for you other than that.”
Doocy apparently didn’t think her answer was enough and kept pressing.
“But as Joe Biden often talks about, it is not just important the example of power but the power of our example. Was that a good example for people who were watching who might not be paying attention normally?” he pressed.
Unsurprisingly, Psaki’s answer to the second question was just as bad as the first.
“Well, Steve, I think the power of his example is also the message he sends by signing 25 executive orders, including over half relating to COVID,” she responded before talking about what a good “example” they show.
“I think we have bigger issues to worry about at this moment in time,” she concluded as she called on another reporter, not allowing Doocy to ask more questions.
