Uh, the tunnels are needed not just for commuters to/from NJ to NYC, they are also needed for Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor operations. The tunnels are needed so the current tunnels can be rebuilt; there will be 115 YO this November, and were damaged during Hurricane Sandy in 2012. But I guess you must be invested in oil stocks, or are among the Filthy Rich, who can summon their own limo or private jet to where you want to go, and don’t care about everybody else.
