Whoopi Goldberg was at best a mediocre actress, God only knows what made her think her opinion meant anything to any thinking individual. I am surprised that show lasted so long.
I made my career as a lawyer and I loved and respected the law for decades. Watching the Dems “weaponize” it over the last 8 years has sickened me. It’s against that background that Whoopi and her cohorts have used their forum to spread the most outrageous and salacious crap about Trump and Vance and Musk and everyone else associated with the Right. Is her stuff actionable under the terms of Sullivan v. NY Times? Possibly. There is certainly a prima facie case to be made and no reason to restrain oneself, in view of “The View’s” incessant BS. They – and all those other “celebrities” who follow the same script – need a cautionary note sounded and $80 Million ought to get their attention, given that ABC’s $15 Million punishment apparently did not penetrate the thick skulls on the Left. Sue away, Elon, and good luck.
