Why would the “ARK” require anchors? It came to “REST” on the mount.
Hopefully the TRUTH will come out.
Any ship would require anchors. In the Biblical account, the Ark came to rest “in the mountains twins of Ararat”. As the water of the flood receded, there would still have been water around, and maybe enough for the ship to move around a bit. A seaman would want to know exactly where his ship would settle, hence the stones to anchor it. Additionally, those on the Ark would not have known exactly where or when it would settle. You don’t want your ship setting on a ridge where it would break or a slope where it would tip over. Anchor stones would help in that case. There are many reasons that a ship would carry anchors, even if they didn’t think they would be needed.
I don’t know where “twins” came from. I tried to edit that and ended up with things I didn’t want.

I don’t know if the Bible is true or just a Story Book ?But consider this, if True & God put 2 of each Species on the Ark & then flooded the Earth. If other Humans were living on Earth, God committed Murder.by drowning them. Same on the Passover. Angel Of Death murdering innocent Babies as retribution to King Herod ???

I think many parables are in there… like Jona and the whale…. Jesus liked parables so this is possible. Yet some things are probably true. Generally, people turn against God and therefore he leaves, like you would if you were rejected. it’s too bad that people could be so evil as to see their children killed.

I hope they find the Ark. But I sent for a booklet quite a while ago which is entitled, “Noah-The Real Story” by Larry Stone. On page 94 of chapter 6, it mentioned that the Ark is likely located in northern Iran. The Bible would suggest this by saying that the descendants of Noah traveled eastward to Babylon when, instead, they should have traveled south.
