Sky News Australia – News Corp journalist Eliza Barr says an initiative by San Francisco officials to pay people $300 a month not to shoot each other is “positive”. The Dream Keeper Fellowship is a pilot program where 10 individuals from disadvantaged neighbourhoods will act as ‘community ambassadors’, in an attempt to address root causes of violence. Ms Barr told Sky News Australia, the initiative was important “because the cycle of disadvantage and intergenerational trauma contributes to people being unable to dig themselves up out of a particular lifestyle and to dream of something better for their lives.”
Isn’t that how the mafia racket works: taking money for “protection” ?
I haven’t shot anyone for 43 years. I am owed a lot of back pay. C’mon man!
