My Mom decided after Dad passed away that she wasn’t taking down the tree, storing it and putting it back up each year. So the next Christmas I helped her put it up, decorated it, we all enjoyed her beautiful tree, and then I helped her wrap it in a clean, white sheet, and we stored it in her spare room. It made her happy knowing that her tree was safe and secure, no ornaments would be broken in taking it down or putting it back up, etc. and that’s all that counted – Mom was happy with it.
