I fully agree with the preceding comments. And I think that this time around, Trump realizes the depth and dimensions of the Swamp, and what efforts it will take to drain it.
Remember, when this country was founded, the President and Congress went back to their homes, and continued working and living like the rest of us peons do. The Government was in session long enough to do the needed work and dismissed.
It would be good if all our elected reps in DC had to return to a real normal working life like the rest of us. They have no clue what living outside the swamp feels like.
So much of their time in Washington would be better spent if they did some meaningful work, bought their own groceries, drove their own cars, and knew what the government spending was doing to all of us who have to pay for their foolishness. “The Swamp” really does exist, and we taxpayers are all paying for it. There should be no royalty in the US. Anyone else feel that we have almost no one working as the president now. He is only doing the formal appearances and going places that JILLY wants to see. Trump is working more as a president than the guy who is sitting in the oval office. The new “oval office” is now in Mar-a-lago.

Term limits for Congress would prevent most of our problems with ‘The Swamp’ and the career politicians who sell us out for their personal gain. Long-term power breeds corruption that works against what our Founding Fathers had envisioned for our Republic. It would take a Constitutional amendment to change the terms for Congress, but it would be worth it in the long run. Congress, like POTUS should have a maximum of eight years with staggered elections to save some continuity with experience and stability. Now is the time for this since we will have a Republican Congress and POTUS.
