WRONG WRONG WRONG!!! There are 2 reasons why gas prices are so high and it has VERY LITTLE to do with the Straight conflict, although it gave oil companies a means to raise prices and screw us all again!

#1 Instead of showing partiality to the U.S. for spearheading this conflict and saving their companies, profits, ships, etc. the oil companies are screwing us up the ass and selling to the highest bidder while we put our beautiful military lives on the line!!! THIS MUST STOP!
#2 United States produces MORE oil than Saudi, Iran, and Venezuela combined! So why aren’t our prices down at the pump? Simple… we produce what is called ‘sweet crude’ and our U.S. refineries are not geared toward refining sweet crude so it ALL GETS EXPORTED! Once again the oil companies are screwing us up the ass and they put sand in the Vaseline!!!
And here’s the real kicker… I found out about this way back in 2002 when an investment company named Stanberry Research revealed it in one of their periodicals. So in other words, here it is.. 2026 – 24 YEARS LATER.. and they have not corrected this system or built any more refineries capable of refining sweet crude… WHY???? Because it goes back to my first point! The OIL COMPANIES sell to the highest bidder.
They are nothing but cut throat sons of bitches and they have a win win situation going on! They keep the prices up, they make massive profits, and they encourage more investing and make tons of money on the markets too!
There appears to be NO SHORTAGE OF OIL THAT SHOULD NOT AFFECT GASOLINE PRICES. The prices are being manipulated by the oil companies taking advantage of the “war” against Iran.
Yes, gas was $5-$6 a gallon under both Biden and Obama. Diesel wasn’t too much above gas. And rent & utility increases under Biden never went back down. They shut down our cheap coal that was processed clean. I live between the mine & power plant. It was clean. And half the cost. Now both are shut down. And my bill is double. Now look at diesel. Its always been just a little higher than gas. Not now. It is WAY up. Makes no sense. They are related. This is obviously manipulated. I know some of it is Ukraine/Russia hitting refineries. Some is Biden idling refineries and draining reserves. But it’s also something more. Price gouging is illegal. Trump needs to slap the oil companies.
Many voters are only looking at fuel prices. Diesel affects ALL deliveries. Fix that now and midterms will be based on true voters opinions. Not just one issue. Which is why dems have lately been solely using affordability as their current selling point. They all repeat it like parrots. Proof they are behind the rate hike. Its their leverage. Don’t be fooled. Its intentional manipulation. Knock them off their self appointed pedestal. Reality check is coming. Damn cheating dems.
These days, diesel costs much more that 93 octane premium gas. That makes no sense because diesel requires less refining than gasoline. I remember when diesel was cheaper than regular grade gas. Perhaps we should stop exporting diesel fuel. Winter is coming. Diesel fuel is the same as home heating oil. Our needs should be met first, before the rest of the world.
with this I totally agree with you. Diesel is deliberately being gouged but I dont think exported.
