The first things a totalitarian government does to its “citizens” to ensure endless power: gun control or banishment of private gun ownership–if not that, then do a “work around” with controlling ammunition or myriad regulations about minute details & regulations /applications; speech control in public & in print of any kind, even in private; pass laws/fees/collections that result in a punishing amount of taxation that benefits the state but does not return services with it back to those taxed; establish a voting class permanently dependent upon the State for daily survival/hand-outs; regulate private home ownership through regulation, taxation, government-controlled lending rates; legislate or influence (through subsidies) private buying trends through the gov’t -preferred options instead of the free-market; est. a federal gov’t standard for the education of our children that eliminates parental rights; convince voters that “redistribution of wealth” is NOT socialism or communism…but a good thing…..I could add more. OMG…I realize that between the Obama-Biden administrations and living 30 yrs in California….I’ve been living this whole LIST PLUS MORE.
